Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for listing an item?

To list an item, navigate to your profile dashboard and select "Add New Listing." You will need to provide high-quality photos, a detailed description, set your rental price, and specify availability dates before publishing.

What steps are involved in completing a rental transaction?

A rental transaction involves four key steps: 1) Booking confirmation (Lister accepts Renter's request), 2) Item exchange (Lister hands item to Renter), 3) Usage period, and 4) Item return (Renter returns item to Lister).

What happens if a rented item is slightly damaged upon return?

Minor wear and tear is generally expected. However, any damage beyond normal use should be documented immediately by the Lister upon inspection. Please refer to the Damage Policy for procedures on reporting and resolution.

Can I cancel a booking after it has been confirmed?

Cancellation policies vary by Lister and the proximity of the rental start date. Please review the specific listing's cancellation terms before confirming a booking. Last-minute cancellations often result in a percentage of the rental fee being charged.

How do I ensure the item I list is legally compliant?

Listers are responsible for ensuring their items meet all local, state, and national safety and legal standards. If your item requires a license or certification to operate, you must confirm the Renter holds the appropriate credentials.

What should I do if the Lister is late for pickup?

Try contacting the Lister immediately via the platform's messaging tool. If they are significantly late (e.g., more than 30 minutes) and you cannot reach them, you should report the issue to the platform immediately through the online support portal for resolution.
